@citusmasher That is actually the max strength you can go. Any harder, and the ball will hook/slice. That is as far as the ball power meter will fill. And it goes just as far, if not further if you hit it pure (meaning you don't overswing) anyway, which is what he did. The 3 mph to the left is negligable. I've played this hole so many times. My best is -11.

@dollarbill2208 Please pause the vid at 5:55, the ball is hit at 89%, which is not the max before loss of control. Everyone who is enough of a loser to post comments on this vid plays the game a lot, and can hit -11, but thanks a bunch for the helpful tips. On my game I have to hit it 100% with zero wind and it will clear by about 4 feet. a negative wind of any kind requires hitting into the red a little bit. For sure hitting only 89% power into a slight 3 MPH wind would never clear.

Did exactly what this person did up until the last hole. Using the driver I put the ball onto the left island. Then pulled out the driver again (not the iron) and I swear I came pretty close to getting an albatros. Damn! could have been joint top in the world!

Yea using an iron instead of a wedge when in a ditch is the way to go. And not to take anything away from -14, but did anyone else notice that the wind never exceeded 10mph? Maybe I missed some that were faster but when i play 9 hole I always get atleast 4 holes where the winds anywhere from 18-30 mph. I consider myself to be pretty good at wii golf, and my best is -7 lol, this guy doubled that!

Actually, the Japanese version measures wind speed in meters per second, not miles per hour. The best way to figure the rough speed in miles is sadly to look at the colour of the arrow and make an educated guess.

I just improved my own record to -13. My score was exactly the same as the one here except I missed my eagle put on hole 5 (he nearly missed it, too). I almost started over at that point because I thought my chance for a record was gone, but the chip-in on hole 7 and the albatros/double eagle on hole 9, a combination I'd never managed before, made up for it.

I have been kinda obsessed with Wii for the last couplea weeks, but now I think I can let it rest for awhile until I get a -14 urge :-)

Here's a test. Take a new Mii with skill level zero and make him a professional within three rounds with no starting over or quitting (so no "cheating"). It's a real test, but if you're scoring consistently -11 and -12 you may find it easy.

I hit -11 the other day and was thrilled with that - to put a round like that together is wonderful.

My favourite shot was the chip in on the 7th using an iron instead of a wedge - that was true class.
