Wouldn't it be somewhat soggy it the bread wasn't coated first before lightly toasted? How about crushing a garlic clove into a quarter cup of oil, lightly brush one side, toast and continue to add the goodies?
I made this for an appetizer for a christmas eve dinner, and it was soo delicious. I usually buy the ones that are already made in the supermarket, but it's better when I made it from your recipe. THANK YOU!!!
