Trevor Lyttleton was a prolific composer of light music and I have to say, I like the majority of his music. Wonder if they could have squeezed another compilation out of his material? I reckon they could have done
I agree. I have really enjoyed Trevor Lyttleton's music, too. I can only ever remember "Soledad", but the other selections that I've heard on here are great as well (Decanter, Tina).
Did Trevor Lyttleton ever release any music commercially? Is he any relation to the late Humphrey Lyttleton?
To my knowledge Trevor Lyttleton isn't realted to Humphrey.
There was a commercial release in Japan on the polydor label entitled 'Mariposa'. There may have been more but I don't believe there was any commercial releases in the UK. I'm not sure if his company Light Music Ltd (& All Time Gold) are still 'live' as a music library. A shame really as his orchestra has a very distinctive sound
Hilarious how the BBC channels lost their programme(s)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
