I don't like the choreography it looks to staged it needs to look more natural. i like everything else. I'm a back stage assistant and we are doing this musical at the town theatre. The one I'm working in the music is slower then this but i like both speeds.
I LOVE the cup part. It's my fav. I saw it recently and Lefou was totally hot! The beast majorly sucked and they got rid off most of the props. Lumier no longer had a candlestick head, Cogsworth had a MUCH cheaper version of his costume and the got rid of the grand library and replaced it with a ribbon of books! They also got rid of a song. Not to mention the wolves were puppets (which wasn't bad) but the puppeteers suck. I was very upset by it all. Wish they left it alone. Love the original.

haha thats because this isn't the film, nor is it supposed to be like the film. This is theatre. you can't exactly do close ups like in a move. you can't get the audience to focus on just just one place. Besides if it was exactly like the film where is the originality or interpretation for the directors? thats half of what makes a play.

The clapping is from the parents. It was the rehearsal the parents and family of cast and crew got to see the show for free. I wasn't in this number or in Be Our Guest. I was the Beast. this was a city show for all the high schools in our county.

in a sense you have to buy it. but what you do is buy the copyright to put it on. you still can't videotape or make cd's to sell because you don't have the rights for it. so you are buying the rights to use their music and to put on the show. thats about as well as i can explain it. hope it was helpful
ow im really excited, i get to play LeFou in our play! I thought I f'ed up my audition cause i was so nervous and when I had to sing my voice started out really good then it went all over the place! Anyway we start rehersals soon, it's going to be so fun! If I can I'll try and put some videos of it up on youtube! Everyone in the show had to wear a wig. I think there was only one person who didn't. They wanted it to look 'cartoony'. I wasn't in this summer musical, but i was in it the next two years. I heard lots of stories. Matt, the guy who's LeFou, is one of my best friends. He's majoring in theatre right now. Very talented. I believe he's gonna be famous someday!
No offense, but that Gaston really sucks. Our school production our Gaston was much better. i like the coustumes though, they're very nice. and the sets cool too.

Probably the best ensemble I've seen so far. Excellent.
But yeah, while this Gaston was better than many others I've seen I still give kudos to the Gaston in our local high school's production.
I liked this LeFou, but at times he's almost too manic and too "twitchy", too me it almost becomes a distraction.
But this would be a show that I'd enjoy seeing. Nice work!
