When a cats kneeds like that, it means they want something. I read that when cats are little they have to kneed the mother cats teets to get the milk flowing. Anyway check out the channel MrYakiTheCat, my cats videos persian as well.

my cat sophia does that too! but we call it nuki-ing (a nuki is a baby passifier) bc she does that and puts the fabric in her mouth and kneads with her paws. its so cute. because thats how kittens nurse, sophia is a big baby! ^^

hi there i got given a black n grey persian from a mate hes 6 months old named floyd.just wondering how lng did it take ur cat 2 b comfortlabe enough 4 u 2 pat it with out running away n b able 2 brush it?floyd is very sketchy n runs away and hisses abit whn i try 2 pick him up and even walk past him.he dusnt go strait under beds and behind cupboards anymore but i can brush him.and is ur car sensitive 2 light?

@NBHGUMPY I´m not the best person to ask about this, since Janelle is *impossible* to brush and I have tried just about everything and now simply have her shaved every 6 months. This (very pretty) cat is "kneading". :-) It's a residual behavior from when they were kittens. Kittens knead their mother's stomach when they want milk, so when they do it to other animals/humans, they are expressing a feeling of comfort and peace that they associate with their mother. Cats also knead when they like the feel of a fabric...

Anyways, just saying that it IS a steel toothed comb I use, and each spoke on the comb also rotates, so it easily combs through even the bottom most hair...
