Haha i remember the first time i snowboarded. And i went with my school to snowboard today and i killed it. no one did the stage with the ramps but me.
I'm 21 and this is exactly what I looked like a few weeks ago. I was really good at backside stopping, but I almost broke every bone in my body trying to stop frontside. Props to him for not giving up... and for being goofy foot :)
He is such a cutie!! I learned to ride when I was 14 so he's way ahead of me. Even though I've been riding 17 years now this little guy will probably be a great snow boarder by the time he's 12.

@meandmybuds100 I used my canon point and shoot camera. It takes nice video and pics. I have been using a flip camera recently for HD video. They both fit nicely in my pocket.
yeah he got the hang of how to lean really fast! i brought a bunch of my friends for their first time last winter and he got the hang of it faster then they did lol and they were 18!

@sheajake2713 Not true, when you slide on ice the foot you put in front is the forward foot. And if you play hockey the first foot you learned to stop on is. I kick right and my right foot is forward.
best way i can tell you to figure that out is ......When you run and slide on the kitchen floor which foot do you side first? That is the same front foot as snowboarding!
lol dude thats normal, i am 13 to. it is just the size of the board, a bigger board is harder to controle... look at the size of his board (thats kinda small...)
neither one is better. I am goofy. I prefer resorts that are set up for more jumps on the left side of the run, because it is easier to get air when you jump toe side.
to tell you the truth im a skateboarder and it really determines on what feels better for you! so i would suggest trying out goofy and regular if your a begginer to try to get your feel
