Could this be the reason why Edmonton's mayor Steven Mandel sold off the most profitable part of Epcor all hush, hush behind closed doors. A power company that was owned by the city since 1902, a money making generator for the city. Well it was till Mandel came along. Thats why Mandel was able to close the ECCA after 2 days of hearings in which over 85% of the speakers were against closure to make way for condos. I hate politicians were get elected with secret agendas.
AltaLink VP Leigh Clarke is also Calgary VP of the Alberta PC Party. Past Alberta PC Energy Minister Patricia Nelson (Black) is also on the AltaLink Board.
What kind of "evidence" could ordinary Alberta citizens bring to public hearings that would motivate the government to take such drastic action like building multi-billion dollar power lines at our expense?
Clearly, the Premier is hiding the real truth which is his corporate buddies wanted these power lines, the government agreed to give them the lines, and then they held so-called public hearings in the summer no less to try to make it all look democratic. What a bunch of crooks!
