About the cape/cloak. I,m pretty sure there is actually a cloth piece where there is a loop for his neck and two for his arms. I have seen the design for it somewhere. :-D

No. I got kinda lazy with that scene, so I used the camera pan/motion blur to help "sell" the knife throw without actually having to animate/mask it.
