ummmm...this kind of reminds me of lemmings running off cliffs, or belly flop competitions. I don't really understand the point of throwing yourself off a 220' cliff, landing head first, and then needing to be rescued. Is this really a sport?

i'd have to agree. seems a lot of skier cliff jumping is this way. they huck off these monstrous cliffs but totally wreck at the bottom, like falling was the hard part. I guess that's just my snowboard mentality though where the landing is half the trick. Not hating though, these guys have their balls to the walls, mad props.

I know this might sound weird but, they`re supposed to land like that. If they landed on their feet, their knees would break. I`m not 100% sure how it works, but apparantly it`s the only thing to do when dropping huge cliffs.

A regular human would die from the g-forces on impact. but when you start at 10 foot cliffs as a kid and build up to 250 footers over 10 or more years you may be able to handle it.
