I've seen something similar in Rijeka/Fiume, a freight train running right in the city centre, Riva, just in front of the harbour: it really looked like a postcard from a century ago.

@giampy1985 Yes, it's pretty similar. In fact I think Pula and Rijeka are the only 2 towns in Croatia to have such an infrastructure.

It's a catastrophe, Pula mass transits systems are basically not existing. They should connect a Railway from Trieste to Pula for regular mass transit. The Bus station in Pula is another example of a poor infrastructure. The country aims on tourism, going forward they'll have to do something about it.

It's embedded in the road structure, since there are parking lots, junctions and access roads across or along the rails. It' s a sort of "tramway", if you wanna call it so.

@stakeee Yes, however it does not serve as a public transport rail road. It is used to bring materials to the local shipyard (Uljanik).
