A message would come up asking me to put in the serial in a certain format, inevitably preventing me from registering. Fortunately, you included the 2.42 version. Very commonly virus protection programs, such as Macafee, Norton, etc add these in as malicious because they are technically illegal, and they do it to try and deter people from doing such things. Although Keygens CAN potentially be malicious, if they are made that way, they generally arent. Its the placebo effect of "We can't stop you from doing a bad thing, but we can try to scare you to deter you from doing it".

@jackmavali I answered my own question, but it maybe useful for anyone else who experiences this problem. My Windows Account username had a space in it (between first name and surname), so the email address that your program generated failed the validation check. All good now that i have changed my username, though i had to manually amend the email address:-)
