In my estimation, the very best rendition of this fantastic song. Agree that this is one of her very best albums. Sarah's work spans so much music and range, I think this is early and best. For middle years, check out Live from Japan. Superb. Finally, look for Sarah with a baby, Winton Marsalis at Boston Pops doing a tune from this very album: September Song. Wynton paying serious homage to Clifford Brown. Also in that concert, they performed the definitive Send In The Clowns. Look for it!
This is one of the best songs from probably Sarah's best album ( WITH the great Clifford Brown on trumpet - just to drive us more crazy! ). This is such a beautifully sad tune but here it justs flies off somewhere near heaven with Sarah. For me, she was at her height on this album. It just doesn't get any better than this.
