the ak47 is one of the most reliable weapons out there.....its been seen during many wars and it will for time to come.The only downfall is the accuracy.
M4 and M16 both have ups and downs man. M4 is convenient because of its size and have shown to be less likely to jam, but over longer distances thier accuracy isnt as reliable as the M16A2/4. Though firing the same cartridge, the barrel is rifled for under 200m, where as M16(A2 in particular) is rifled for accuracy anywher up to 400 or 500m. The M16A4 is virtually a slightly larger version of the M4 anyways, these days they're pretty much perfectly interchangable.

why not AKs? Well, the Iraqi army is switching to U.S. equipment. They're moving away from old Soviet equipment. Ultimately, the M4 will be more effective. Better accuracy, less recoil. You just need to clean it. One or two jams is worth being able to hit your target.

Your right, but if it breaks and the guy is dead, theres no point in fixing it. Thats the view the US army is taking on it. Kevlar is not kevlar, just like a gun is not just a gun. It is impossible to compare a sniper to a pistol because of the bullet size and purpose. Pistol bullets mushroom, while the sniper bullets are meant for long distances.
There are different strengths of kevlar. They range from 1, to 4, if i remember right. 1 is the weakest, and 4 is the strongest. Dragonskin is 3.5. Normal Kevlar that the US army uses is somewhere near a 2, if not less. It can't stop the small M16 bullets very well, let alone the AK, that most of the US's enemies use. Kevlar varies depending on what you wear. YOu want to test it out, then try shooting 20 bullets into a normal kevlar vest, with you wearing it, then fire 20 into dragonskin.
sinple as to why they dont switch weapons, because the army has a contract with colt firearms untill 09 from liek back in the 00's to use and buy the M4 the scar isnt that hot same caliber but its liek plastic, i dont know if you have ever held an m4 but i own one and its about 6lbs acuate to over 1500feet on iron sights no recoil less then a pistol and all aorund a good gun. the m4 is simalr but not entirely to the m16 no full auto at all compact and lighter. 10extralbs makes a difference.

I really like the M4, but I can't doubt its obvious flaws. It requires training because you need to maintain it after a gunfight, you gotta clean it out everytime you fire. AK, although I hate to say this, is much easier to maintain.
So this was obviously a battle sight zero round. Imagine being the RO and having to give sight corrections on a horrible group like that. Sadly, these are Iraqi officers, the creme de la creme, and are desperately in need of some quality training. We'll be there for years to come.

The shaking is from our more powerfull weapon, no, he is just used to the ak47 where the magazine goes in curved, m16 style weapons appear to go in curved, but actually go straight up. He looked confused and was struggling because that can't happen under fire. b4 people start commenting on the more powerful weapon .308 versions are being made instead of 5.56.
308 version is called AR-10 (I own one) check out DPMS web site, and it can be a pain in the ass switching from Ak to AR, mag reloading. and there aint nothing wrong with 5.56
the M16 is not a difficult weapon to operate. i think they should make the m16 round into a 6.8mm it has a lot of knock down power but it is still a small round like the 5.56 so you can carry a lot of ammo with less weight. Cause some times 5.56 can't get the job done unless its in a vital area.

Ever hear of the story with the 7.62x39 fired point blank at a US soldiers chest and it not penetrating at all? Hahaha, a bunch of random shit, exactly.
The M4 Carbine can't be chambered for anything but 5.56 x 45 mm NATO (.223 Remington) cartridges. It can penetrate any thickness of kevlar, but can be stopped by metal and/or composite plates that can be slipped into the kevlar.
I think that Iraqi reloading was used to reloading an AK as well as being nervous. It's slightly different - you don't have to put the mag in at an angle on an AR like you do an AK.

Less reliable than the ak, but it has almost no recoil. When you shoot an ak, you got a huge chunk of metal moving, with big tollerances.

People on the internet talk shit about the 5.56 like it is so weak and can't kill someone or penetrate anything, bullshit. Ever hear the story of the 7.62x51mm in Somalia? Ever hear of the story with the 7.62x39 fired point blank at a US soldiers chest and it not penetrating at all? Hahaha, a bunch of random shit, exactly.

The M4 Carbine can't be chambered for anything but 5.56 x 45 mm NATO (.223 Remington) cartridges. It can penetrate any thickness of kevlar, but can be stopped by metal and/or composite plates that can be slipped into the kevlar.

I think that Iraqi reloading was used to reloading an AK as well as being nervous. It's slightly different - you don't have to put the mag in at an angle on an AR like you do an AK.

I hate to be a dick, but let's face it, Christians are Sadistic Murderers, I was raised in a Christian church and i can tell you it's true. Unlike most religious people I grew to understand that religion is just another way to hate people who are different and I couldn't stand it, so I left religion all together.
