Macaws can not only draw blood, but they can bruise and break finger bones. This is a bird that you really have to socialize unless you want a serious injury. They're just amazing.
yep, socialize. Animals are social creatures too and have to learn from an early age what behavior is appropriate and what is not. They do this by observing and partaking in activities within their family group and with strangers.
