For some reason, this song reminds me of 80s video games. I can listen to this and I suddenly see images of neon lit arcades, Pac Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Centipede, Donkey Kong and kids crowding cabinets, quarter machines exchanging dollars for coins, the occasional "ding ding ding" at carnival games and such. That's what it sounds like, a heavily crowded, chaotic 80s arcade! ^_^

@curapica26 its the "full" track it ends the way it does because its the battle theme for Cassiopia hollow, and the music has to loop in game.

I think Uematsu is being kinda punny in a way, doing his first project back on the FF team, referencing songs from past FF's he did. Alot of people playing FF14 will enjoy the feeling of nostalgia.

And I agree with Corrderio, the main parts of it remind me of FF8's boss music alot more than FF10.

This music is used for Behest, a public event where you can team up with others at a camp to take out a set of monsters. The more that participate, the greater the number of enemies and the larger the gil reward.

The NPCs that initiate these public quests appear often (once every hour), and they don't count towards your Guildleve quota, meaning you aren't restricted to a certain number per day.
