Weijers also told us it's not for the hardcore fans like us (including you guys complaining) but more for all those mails he get of people that want to buy dominoes.
So well, if you don't like it: keep buying your dominoes at Domino-racer or elsewear (What domino-racer sells is totally different because he does it trough EbaY) but telling WDP that they are not thinkg about fans is the most irrelevant thing to say!
Well I know they have been working on this since January (to get everything done to actually sell it as a brand).
And then you guys tell em it's not good...
Well yes it is quite expensive, but only the raw dominoes are 4 cents each (Not incliding new malls) , then you have rights, a logo, the brand, taxes and we're not even talking about the fact they have to make profit!
Why always dutch and german fans have more facilities???
Are more fans abroad this countries that likes visit the studio and meet mr.domino...
I don't buy their stones:
1- Are very expensive
2- Don't have a lot of colours
3- Are created thinking in kids not in fans (See the web and you think that 900 stones it's normal called advanced pack? or that a tower have a level 3 of 5 "advanced"??)
I THINK THAT WDP NEED TO THINK MORE IN THE OTHER FANS!
They wanted to present it to a small group, and how not logical would it be to invite half of europe to go to a presentation of about 2 hours??
I mean everyone that came lives in an area smaller then 300km from the company and the chance of people coming all the way from Spain, Italy, Scandinavia etc. is pretty small.
Even though I understand what you mean I do think you guys are a bit unthankful. According to how they WDP keeps us informated these days..
OK but think as we. think that you live abroad holland, you like to see that dutch and german fans have always facilities?? It's really hard for us DDF!! I love WDP but for my every day is hard thinking that i can't feel near to me.
For example this year aren't a spanish builder selection (And i have 18 years) why?? maybe because doen't broadcast in spain... but this is another reason. We are far of holland but also we need feeling that we are fans of WDP! It's not easy!
No it is not, if you calculate, ther are bout 12 cents a stone if you buy 900 of them. Domino-Racer sold them for bout 6-7 cents a stone. Far more expensive. And a big thing besides that is that the stones ARE NOT THE domino day stones. So yeah, I understand it, but I understand you too and you are right in a sort of way.
I think that they treat their fans great. They give free stuff away in contests, they invite people to their studios and they keep everybody up-to-date. Everybody kept asking for the original dominoes, and now they're here, everybody complains about the prices. I know it's a bit expensive, but they also have to make money. Domino Day is not cheap you know. But I've got a bag of them here, built with the dominoes and they're great. They're still the best dominoes of the whole domino-buisness.
Material costs? The MrDomino stones are made in a new matrix.. that cost really much... and you know WDP is a company and not a 'we give away' thing..
When you watch the group picture, I'm the smallest one :D Who are you?

Het zijn niet 'De officieële stenen van dominoday.' Want die hebben niet zo'n weijers ding toch? ;D
Maar wel cool. Toch blijf ik liever bij mijn stenen van Marktplaats.

I repeat in English:
These stones ofcourse are the official stones because the have the size of: 48mm x 24mm, 7mm thick, and the weight of 8,25grams.
the only thing is they have a brand on it, so WDP can see the difference between the consumers stones and the stones from the tv-production.
and as bob already sad "I do think you guys are a bit unthankful."

O so it's strange that domino racer dominoes that are only like 2-3 grams are less expensive than superior 8 grams dominoes...
So the double price isn't that strange..
Also these are the same dominoes as domino day (like really excactly but only an logo in it).
I really think it's a bit strange that everyone says they're too expensive; what else can you expect!
dominodayfreak 2 years ago
Domino-Racers were actually 8-10 grams heavy and very good quality.
The material costs for WDP are so small...they really do not treat their fans nice with this!
