The way it should have been to start with. Shannen as Prue.

I believe it should start that way, because Prue's the oldest sister, and if she'd lived she'd have been the most powerful and probably would have had the most screentime. I never got why they put Alyssa, Rose then Holly as Piper, since it'd make more sense to go in age order.

I think Holly Marie Combs wanted to be credited last after Shannen Doherty left, so Alyssa Milano got top billing order. Not sure though cause it never made sense to me either.

Yeah, the whole And Holly Marie Combs as "Piper" thing was supposed to make her seem like the main character (I heard this somewhere, not sure where), but it just looks like we need to see the name of her character because we don't remember exactly who she is.

I thought age order worked best for opening credits.

@SuperCharmedWitches Holly demanded to be credited that way or she would have left the show, she also wanted to become producer (which she only could starting from season 5).
