Im sure this band loves and respects lennon's song, thats not the point. The point is the disrespect of people trying to put forth and argument that this COVER is better than the original, all im trying to do is explain that no cover can ever be "better" than any original because it is just a copy that appeals to a fragment of the people of this generation. If your going to cover a legend, do it for the people not for your own ego. Which is what this version sounds like. All ego and no lennon.

If anyone thinks this is a better version, its not. Because its not the exact version it is a fake, copied version of how it was intended to sound. The only way any version would be better than any original is if the original song writer was playing it better.

If you think music can't be improved by artists other than the original writer, you clearly have a narrow musical horizon. There are millions of bad covers, but this isn´t one of them. Yes, I think it´s an improvement of the original. Cold War Kids took the song, treated it with respect, and improved the way John Lennon had intended it to be. Plus: they updated it to the 2000's. That's why this song is thát good.

This is a song treated with respect, giving it Cold War Kids ingrediënts, while improving the integrity of the song. That's what they did, and if you don't like that: piss off and don't listen to it.

Ive tried everywhere to get the Live In New York 72 concert on dvd,there was only so many copies made in the late 80s or early 90s when dvds started,I know its available on VHS but Id rather have DVD,so if anyones got one to sell I WANT IT!!!!!
