The sad thing is that Zakk Wylde played it "the Jimi Hendrix way" without understanding why Jimi hendrix played what he played in 1969. Zakk used it just for effect, just to add some well known flashy licks to the national anthem and to suggest a connection between him and Jimi Hendrix. I find it cheap and tasteless.
