i dont think i could have found a more flawed, generic list on youtube. but...i did, and im pissed. i loved seeing tommy emmanuel in there. He can shred as fast as petrucci on an acoustic with as much feel as stevie ray. descluding maybe 5 people at most on this list (petrucci, Gilbert, Malmsteen,) i can garountee i could learn and master the techniques of every guitar player on this list, and im sure many others could too. 6 years of playing here and me being able to say that shows the flaws.

Not a bad list. Good to see Eric Johnson and Satriani get their due after being left off the recent Rolling Stone Top 100. My personal noted omission is Jeff Beck, but with the exception of Cobain I can't really argue with anyone else listed here. But let's take parlezumi's point a step further. These are all great Hard Rockers. Many great guitarists play other types of music. Sonny Landreth, Paul Franklin and Leo Kottke come to mind. A fellow named Carlos Montoya. Anyway. Good list. Rock On.

However my point is even Mettalic compared every guitarist they ever had to Mustaine.. Hammet simply does not compare to Mustaine even Metallica admits that.. Its also out of order, Slash is better than at least half the people on here, and Dimebag should at least be in the top 20's Jimi Hendrix is not the best, i admit hes great but not the best. But this is still a good video.
