As for the character remark, I grew up in a family of comic book fanatics so my favorite is, as he always has been, Magneto lol I liked the depth of it all, and how he didn't miraculously just become wholesome as he got older, hes isn't a good guy by any measure but he also isn't necessarily a bad guy. Just an extremist.

@t110722 Awesome. I really like the character depth of Magneto, but my favourite from the movies was always Professor X, especially in First Class. I tend to be a bit idealistic and I really admire the Professor for still advocating peace, despite all the horrible stuff he had to endure. I don't really know what he was like in the comics because I have yet to read any, but in the movies I think he's brilliant.

@JediVulcanTimeLord He is, and Patrick Stewart was a perfect cast for him. Again, I feel like those two characters DID help document a big issue of that era, being civil rights. You can see MLK and Malcom X in those two in a bit of a distant way if you ask me. Also its nice to see a "villain" (Magneto) who isnt like "MWAHAHAHAHA IM EVIL" but who is doing what he feels in the just course for his people. It may not be the right one, BUT he believes that it is

@t110722 Yeah, Magneto is much more of an anti-villain than a straight-forward bad guy. First Class really makes you sympathise more with his cause when you see how he was treated as a child. I'd always rather liked him in the other films because he was quite funny, but I still look at him differently after seeing First Class. In the same way, I now look at the Professor differently, knowing who, at least in FC, caused him to be in the wheelchair.

While this movie does somewhat go with the other 4 movies, it is best to take it as an entire separate entity. There are so many minor details that make such big plot holes in the other movies that you just can't try to piece them together. An obvious small detail, Magento obtains Shaw's helmet in this movie and blocks Charles from getting to his mind. But in X1, Charles doesn't understand why he can't read Magento's mind when he has the helmet on. There are tons more.

I saw this twice Sunday and it's just breathtakingly phenomenal as is Jackman's score. Has all the gravitas of the first 2 XMen films thanks to Bryan Singer producing & co-writing the story, Matthew Vaughn's direction & the amazing cast. Jackman's score is a triumph, just stunning!

Jackman is the son of Andrew Pryce Jackman who was a member of Yes's Chris Squire's old band, The Syn..and...

..Henry has also collaborated with Chris Squire, himself in the past, as well as also collaborating previously, with Producer Trevor Horn.
