@Raiden815zeta no, seeing a gy!be are anti-corporation, i highly doubt you'll be able to find it on itunes. the album is called 'F#A# Infinity" or "F#A# ∞"
This movie is entirely based on Zombies. That's why people get bitten and turn. A zombie is a dead corpse that has been reanimated to be brought back to life. The virus acts as a zombie- virus. When bitten, the subject gets extremely sick, dies, then rise back to life filled with rage with one anticipation, kill everyone and everything. Anyways, great song, Jim is my favorite of the 28 Later series (he was on Inception). Tehee. c:
@8TheB3AT8, nope. They're similar though. 28 Days Later's infection went airborne right when they let the infected chimps escape, they were testing a virus on them. Yet in Resident Evil the disease was airborne when an artificial virus was created by Umbrella. But the virus will only activate one brain function, feeding. Sounds a lot like 28 Days Later to me.
@DrummerLordProdigy If the virus was airborne at that point, how come you needed to be infected via fluids to contract the virus? That was a pretty major plot point in the movies.
@DrummerLordProdigy The infected don't die in the 28 series, and most zombies don't have a desire to kill everything - You need to re-watch some movies.
anyone imagine combining 28 days later with a world war 1 setting? With all the gas they used in the war I can see a good movie in that. Imo ww1 + infected zombies would make for a good movie.
@THEOPD - I could talk for hours about both films, but my comment was just highlighting that this movie, and Fight Club, are so much deeper than zombies or fighting. To me, 28 Days Later was more about mentally surviving such a scenario than anything else. You have the scene with Jim's parents, selena having to kill mark, the charming father and daughter, the innocence of the grocery run, the wild horses, soldiers exploiting their power, the reality of how the world shut them off, etc.
@THEOPD - and then you have fight club which challenges your conventional notions of worth, purpose, success, uniqueness, etc, only ever using fighting as a means to say "we want to feel something real". It's one of those reality check movies, like the matrix even, and says this is where you're wrong about your life, and this is what you're looking for. 28 Days Later tackles zombies and says "this is how it would actually feel, and here's all of the the scenarios you never thought about."
@bennyv04988 I couldn't agree more. Both are among my favorite films for precisely that reason. For me, 28 Days Later had a lot of themes similar to Lord Of The Flies i.e The loss of innocence and the dark hearts of mankind. *spoiler ahead.* By the end, with Jim covered in blood and slaughtering the soldiers I got a feeling there was little difference between the zombies and 'normal' people. Most of the horror in this film came from the uninfected people, I thought.
@illuminat1believer1 na. the thing that gave the first film its eerie briliance was the lack of fighting. Anyone can add action or fighting to a film and call it an improvement but it would take away the film's soul I think. Thats why I dont really aprove of the second film's director who tried to make it apeal to a larger audience by making the plot more simple. Thats just my opinion though and you are sertainly entitled to your own.
@warpunk1 Yeah. The action scenes in the first film were perfectly placed and needed. It was satisfying to see Jim push that dude's eyes into his head, where if that happened in any other movie it would just be a violent scene. Just the right amount of action.
@FutFraggle Yea that particular form of execution is 28's signature I think lol. If they ever do make a "28 months later" I want it to be the same director as the first film other wise they are just going to get worse and worse just like the resident evil films where the first one was the best and they slowly went down hill.
I'd discovered GY!BE a while before I saw this movie. Danny Boyle did a fantastic job conveying a sense of isolation in the movie, especially during this scene.
I don't really understand, this song was in the film, but not the official soundtrack, and in GY!BE's album... it's not a song, but 4 of them? From what wikipedia is telling me, it's the name of a disc in the album "F-sharp, A-sharp, Infinity"

@TheSchmuck2 They have reformed, are currently touring, and are working on new material which they will begin recording in July. This is a decent 'preview,' but not really anywhere near the intensity of the original, with all the exposition.
