Kobe is Batman he has to rely on his skills and his arsenal of moves he has in his utility belt. LBJ is a 3 dimensional player-size, speed and strength. Kobe is multidimensional he has an array of moves speed, mid range, dunks, 3's, post moves, pump fakes, foot work. I think they are both great players, but I will give Kobe the edge.

The difference is Lebron wouldn't be great w/out his level of athleticim, Kobe IS great without Lebron's level of athleticism.

I think if u just cut off driving lanes for lebron and put a center in front of the basket. then lebron can't get around him that well and he'd be forced to shoot a jumpshot which he really isn't versatile with. kobe can be versatile in every aspect inside and outside i think because even with a big guy inside he could still work his way around him with his skills and jumpshooting he's got mutiple tricks like fadeaways, pump fake, spin moves, pull ups and he does it with relative ease

Seriously, only dumbness compare the stats of players of different positions. Kobe's the better player, plain and simple. Lebron's the better athlete, but his physical prowess will fade as he begins to show his age. At that time, Lebron won't be in the top 10.
It doesn't always matter how many "skills" they have. It matters how effectively they use them. For example, Kobe is probably more skilled than LeBron at mid-range, but LeBron can just pull up. You don't need to look flashy to make a shot. You just need to put the ball in the basket... that's how you win.
Lebron has more skills than any SF. Kobe has skills for an SG. They are different players and dominant in different ways. What SF do you know who dribbles and spins etc? They don't have to. They usually dominate with power and athleticism. Kobe does what he do to compensate for his lack of athleticism and quickness. And people think that is what makes him so "skilled" as a player. IMO it causes a lot of strips and turnovers and is therefore more inefficient than Lebron's game.

I'll put it like this... LBJ to me is superman he relies on his natural born strength speed and size to make shots. Kobe is Batman he has to rely on his skills and his arsenal of moves he has in his utility belt. LBJ is a 3 dimensional player-size, speed and strength. Kobe is multidimensional he has an array of moves speed, mid range, dunks, 3's, post moves, pump fakes, foot work. I think they are both great players, but I will give Kobe the edge.

As far as I am concerned, Kobe uses his size as well, specially on smaller defenders.Watch him back them up and then score with a turn-around jump shot.
They're both great players. You would have made more sense had you said that Kobe is a better shooter but Lebron is clearly more of a complete player than Kobe.

@Isaachtft Kobe has an offensive arsenal that far outranks Lebron's, so as far as offense Kobe is more complete. Lebron excels in certain offensive aspects, primarily his drive (in which he uses his speed & power-both physical/athletic factors-not necessarily skill), but his post game is weak at best DESPITE his size and his shot is extremely flaky. The difference is Lebron wouldn't be great w/out his level of athleticim, Kobe IS great without Lebron's level of athleticism.

I am not saying LeBron isn't good. I am just saying he has a football player's build where was Kobe (to me) is more built for basketball. Kobe has better form and release and more clutch. Lebron's drive cannot be stoped without foul...also he's fast and he has quick release when he shoots so it's extremely hard to defend him...Kobe is very skilled and talented with a tone of moves inside and outside but he's not as athletic and strong as Lebron and other players..So a good defender could prevent him easier than Lebron..In my opinion Lebron is a match up nightmare..the hardest guy to defend...!

I think if u just cut off driving lanes for lebron and put a center in front of the basket. then lebron can't get around him that well and he'd be forced to shoot a jumpshot which he really isn't versatile with. kobe can be versatile in every aspect inside and outside i think because even with a big guy inside he could still work his way around him with his skills and jumpshooting he's got mutiple tricks like fadeaways, pump fake, spin moves, pull ups and he does it with relative ease

@conman24life obviously lebron doesn't score like kobe does, but his impact is greater overall with the rebounding and passing. you can say that kobe is a better man on man defender, but with lebron's frame and speed, his help defense is pretty good. It doesn't always matter how many "skills" they have. It matters how effectively they use them. For example, Kobe is probably more skilled than LeBron at mid-range, but LeBron can just pull up. You don't need to look flashy to make a shot. You just need to put the ball in the basket... that's how you win.

Lebron has more skills than any SF. Kobe has skills for an SG. They are different players and dominant in different ways. What SF do you know who dribbles and spins etc? They don't have to. They usually dominate with power and athleticism. Kobe does what he do to compensate for his lack of athleticism and quickness. And people think that is what makes him so "skilled" as a player. IMO it causes a lot of strips and turnovers and is therefore more inefficient than Lebron's game.

LEbron is more of a moving brick wall. This is why I think Kobe is better. Your telling me that Kobe is better in the clutch but if you go to NBA.com and check out each players clutch stats as well as their stats when their team can either tie or win...Lebron has Kobe in every stat excepts for shots made and shots attempted. FG%, assists, rebounds, steals, etc...check for yourself. 09-10, Kobe was ridiculous at the end of games and this year lebron has sucked in terms of game tie/win shots.

Shooting can possibly be given to Kobe, even though Lebron shoots a higher percentage because Kobe takes more jump shots but lebron's mid-range shooting % is higher than Kobe's. Just check the stats....for real. A lot of you will be surprised at Kobe's numbers. This past yr. he played about 6-7 less mins than Lebron but avg. about 2-3 more shots, just check them.

@gravyonme umm 1st of all, the only thing Lebron has over Kobe is that he is a better play " Maker " meaning he is a Magic Johnson like Player, Kobe isn't MJ but has a similar style like him in which can dominates on both sides of the floor! you can talk all you want about REGULAR SEASON, but when it comes to playoffs, your boy hasn't shown shit or proved anything like Kobe " Individually " has! Lakers play the triangle offense in which you don't need a true PG and not many assist occur!
