as a traveller i'm glad i've never met u koz all u do is moan about travellin!! Do u really think the ferry can sit about waiting for u to decide if u can be bothered to look at a map or not!? And there is not a chance that should take u 2 hours to get that far, unless u stop every mile to moan!!

An hour from there to Pierowall?? Get a grip it's about 10 minutes! As for the weather...it is the north of Scotland so you can't expect high temperatures and wonderful weather all the time. Maybe should have done some research before you came!

I rode from Pierowall to the ferry port and back in August (09). I had to shelter in that gateway to your left as a herd of cows were ushered past. I stayed in Pierowall for 3 nights. Quite different to Manchester!
