I think you are correct by saying the only way out could be a revolution, it is sad that we would have to come to that in 2009 but when watching KMT/Ma decisions and blind stupidity how can you not be disapointed. My biggest fear is that if Taiwan "belongs" to China(I REALLY HATE TO WRITE THIS BECAUSE TAIWAN SHOULD NEVER BELONG TO ANY OTHER COUNTRY BUT ITSELF!)then it will be the end of Taiwanese's Freedom, a civil war could emerge out of this because the problem won't be international anymore but "national" and knowing how China's government resolves their problems and treat their people it might become a mess! First, Taiwanese must be united to stop Ma from selling out Taiwan. Based on Taiwan's strategic importance to the world's marine traffic, Japan, US and other free countries that use the Taiwan Strait will not sit idly to let China take it over. The whole world wants to see Taiwanese's will. People should stand united and strongly voice their objection, Ma will not have the nerve to push Taiwan toward China. Ma is close to a breakdown from KMT internal fights and public pressure.
