Nukem, according to my readings, Marxism is not a social system, but a philosophy and a method of analyzing and changing the world. Socialism and communism are social systems. It's not semantic; it's scientific definition of things. Marxism has a point though when arguing that socialism could be established only in industrially advanced societies and in the whole world. That was were the two main reasons of the failure of "socialism" in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe...
