The acid test kit is the most accurate

1. scratch gold onto rough filer, get a sharp edge on the gold scratch it onto the test kit

2. If its real gold , gold keeps its color when you apply a drip of 14k acid onto it, it wont fade at all

3. gold -plated, or fake gold will fade immedately when you apply the acid learn how to test gold idiots

EVERYTHING IN THE VIDEO IS BOGUS!! The ONLY step that is correct is the last one... go to a jeweler to verify.. Most jewelers don't need to run a test, they just need to see it. They can tell if it is real or not with 97%-99% accuracy without any tools. Most jewelers won't appraise your gold, they will simply tell you how much they would pay you for it (trade-in price) which can vary...

As a jeweler i see thousands of pieces of jewelry stamped 10K or 14K and is 100% fake, or plated with gold
