  • These scenes were filmed in Savannah, GA

  • That laugh is so timeless.

  • Dump the vid, take a bath.

  • "Gonna try something else?"

"Yeah, I'm gonna make you taller!" lol classic!

  • 0:14 you dont hear her nose crackle in the original updated version. lol

  • bad quality

  • AMC showed this today. It's STILL better than the Sandler version. My favorite part is when he hits Ray Nitschke in the crotch, and everyone jumps on him, TWICE! I also love the way Burt Reynolds sticks the game ball in Eddie Albert's gut and says, "Stick this in your trophy case." Then you see the deputy warden pull out the tape of the bribe, suggesting Paul's getting out soon!

  • They say a great movie has to hook you in the first 5 minuetes, check. Then delivers one of the greatest guy movies of all time.Lastly, and most certainly leastly,Adam Sandler playing Paul Crue is a slap in the face to Burt & his fans.

  • Burt Reynolds look so young

  • Burt Reynolds doesn't take shit

  • The Cintroen was bascially Maserati. I wiki'd Cintroen and found out that, Cintroen bought Maserati in 1968 & incorporated both vehicles. Thus, the connection between the two style of vehicles. This movie is an UNTOUCHABLE Classic that no one should have had the audacity to attempt to remake. Also, Burt Reynolds should've never been cast to play Coach Nate Scarborough in the failed re-make of this movie. To me, that's like someone attempting to re-make "The Dirty Dozen". Can't be done!

  • Maserati my foot, thats a Citroen.

  • how dare they fuck with that red 67 GTX.

  • @MontrealMan1970 Light dents are an easy fix.

  • Whisky bottles & brand new cars...police car your in my way ;)

  • Burt Reynolds played Paul Crewe in the 1974 moive of the longest yard and he played Nate Scarbrough in the 2005 moive of the longest yard with Adam sandler

  • you can't re-make a clssic film

  • The remake is a joke. They shot it in Santa Fe at the old prison. Burt slapped the reporter during an interview because the guy had not even taken the time to watch the original movie and was then forced to apologize to the idiot.

  • This car Chase & Arrest scenes are MUCH better than the ones in that totally unnecessary remake!

  • just stumbled across the new version of this movie. watching that half a man

adam sandler try to be paul crew was embarrasing to watch.

some movies you just cant remake

  • @GRIZZLED64 Remakes suck

  • Grew up listening to Skynyrd. After watching this movie it's impossible for me to listen to Saturday Night Special and not want to get in my car and drive like a maniac!

  • Nothing like seeing the place you grew up in being part of a movie. XD Most of it was in Savannah, Ga. The beginning where you see the blinking light, then the park where he's driving wrong way on one way, then fountain which is in the park. Most of downtown on bay street then broughton.. Couldn't tell of the places before the drawbridge though. Movie was made before I was born so not sure. But drawbridge was in Brunswick. Love it. XD Blinking light as actually in my neighborhood lol

  • hey look here a miniature cop

  • bad ass chase you think their would be a better video on youtube

  • "Why'd you drive her car into the bay? I couldn't find a car wash....."

  • i like the chase, and the fact skynyrd is playing, but that car sucks! maybe his next movie they will give a black trans am or something cool!

  • @tkotan Trans = SHIT

  • Ike Turner Vibe

  • How cool is this!!!!!!!!

  • Burt > Clint

  • I was on whats left of this bridge today!

  • Burt Reynolds and Lynyrd Skynyrd... All Florida boys... As I am too, I was the stunt driver for this chase scene and had an on again/off again affair with Burt for the next seven years... A lovely man who I will always hold close to my heart.

  • @Badfinger1964

This is some funny shit right here.......

  • the slide....the SLIIIDE! I want that car. Oh what am I thinking? To expensive, and quite happy with my CX2000Pallas 1984

  • I live on the same street where that brown house is in 1:01-1:03.

  • That chase was filmed in Savannah & Brunswick,Ga. FYI.

  • Buckett is right. This is a great movie but the beginning with Burt shifting gears and outrunning the cops with Lynyrd Skynyrd playing in the background is pure gold.

  • FYI the guy who filmed the car chase scene was HAL NEEDHAM the guy who filmed Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run.

  • what a BAMF.

  • hollywood has no mine but to re- do and fuck up the classics.

  • The film was also released in Europe under the title 'The Mean Machine'

  • In the First one there is The car Chse too ??? Cool

Hope I can find a Torrent or sumthing for this!!

  • Love the Citroen SM!!

  • @McAteerPaul It looks almost like an early Honda Insight.

  • is this a comedy?

  • Yep, actual title is "Saturday Night Special" *PS the lady is Anitra Ford, one of the original "Barkers Babes" from The Price Is Right....

  • Lynyrd Skynrd plays that song right?

  • One of the coolest opening scenes (and movies) of all time. Burt was the best. Smokey and the bandit another classic burt movie.

  • At the beginning she says "Don't take my Mazerati" But it's actually a Citreon. They owned Mazerati at the time. It's pretty cool though, Mr.Saturday night on the Radio.

  • @theDIguy08

The Citroen SM carried a Maserati engine.

  • @theDIguy08 it has a Maserati engine tho

  • @theDIguy08 A Citroen SM with a Maserati powertrain.

  • @theDIguy08 that car actually has a maserati V12, hence why they referred to it as a maserati

  • @crazybluemongoose Maserati-motor was a V6 in 2.7 or 3.0 liter
