I'm SO sorry James. I had to do the same thing with my mother under different circumstances. My mom showed up for my daughters 3rd birthday drunk after me telling her NO MORE drinking when around my kids. She was falling down drunk in my front yard. I physically removed her from my property when she refused to leave. I had to say goodbye to my mom too.. it hurt but had to be done for MY sanity. I could no longer enable her. I know it hurts James but you did the right thing for her & you.

The house, I guess, will be there until it finally rots and falls down. I don't know how they can bear to live in it with the way it is, but some people feel like any roof over their head is better than being on the street, so I imagine when the electric gets cut off, they'll just live without it.
