Oh that last shot of the movie. At the midnight premiere of the movie everyone in the audience was practically screaming at the screen at the implications of that last shot. I will see it on kòòkica again for sure. But boy howdy did it have everyone talking.

The film was not as confusing as I was told. Main guy played his character awfully well. I founded it on kòòkica. If I had to criticize, I walked away not knowing much about the other characters, but that didn't affect the experience.

A solid film... but one with an extremely anti-climatic ending that is almost completely void of catharsis. Nowhere near the standard of such great political thrillers as All the President's Men, Z, The Manchurian Candidate (original and remake), Missing, JFK, The Pelican Brief, Frost/Nixon, The Parallax View, and The Ghost Writer.

Note: Ben Affleck's name should be listed in the Oxford Dictionary as an antonym to chameleon.

I've become addicted to it, I agree with the comments about the acting, Rachel McAdams is really beautiful and Crowe a great actor, I loved the plot, the absence of gratuitous murders or sex scenes. Smart, bold, I do miss seeing more movies like this one. Robin Wright-Penn also stars even if her name doesn't show up.

We just rented this one from REDBOX last night and LOVED it! It was refreshing to watch something that not only had great acting and a solid plot-line, it was something that kept us thinking and talking about afterwards. We also enjoyed that the focus stayed firmly on the characters and the story, and we didn't have to suffer through sex scenes, graphic murders, and gratuitous language. Our family gives this one two big thumbs up!

Decent film, but doesn't come close to the brilliance of the BBC mini series.

Crowe basically carried the film on his shoulders. Unlike the original, where the cast was loaded.

Affleck was dreadul as Collins, Russell didn't have much to work with.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the movie but I just finished watching the original UK mini-series and have to absolutely recommend it! Fantastic stuff.

Will be very interesting to see the movie treatment, esp how Affeck compares to David Morrisey as Collins, Morrisey being one of the UK's best actors.
