Thank you Ford4312 for forcing me to hear this performance each and every time I visited here to browse through your goodies. It has finally penetrated my thick skull that this recording is something very special and is a true treasure.
100 years from now, few people will know what swagger or a badonk-a-donk is, but the poetry of Sammy Davis, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin will always be relevant.
This hit by Ol' Blue Eyes was the 93rd #1 song on what is now Billboard's Adult Contemporary charts. It also hit #30 on the Top 40 charts. Last night, I watched the American Music Awards. If they had existed back then, I wonder it this hit would have been nominated. I hope that they give Frank their Lifetime Achievement Award sometime in the future.
OMG! What a rendition of this song! Awesome!!! Frank Sinatra you are so greatly missed...! When music was the true real art from the heart...! Kisses wherever you are in heaven..!
HOURS OF LOVE I dont' have hours of love to not fall in love again. I have... only moments I speak only if I have to and I don't ask anyone to stay with me Is only you that I want only you Your place was here close to me I'm not able to look where you are not My eyes on yours and then...and then...
to: jesusmaful...unfortunately i can't read Italian or Spanish and only understood the word: Festival San Remo. My favorite song from that festival is Zingara by Boby Solo.
the song is incredible. it moves me over and over again every time i listen to it and i can't get enough of this tune. regretfully, the song has not been played on radio stations as often as some of his other songs.
This song is song of strength for those unlucky people who are now stuck in the so called "modern generation". God, I would give anything to be brought to those beautiful old days, where money and power wasn't priority, but just love. That was the true value in the Frank Sinatra generation, but those values have collapsed and have been converted to fake sex, teen age rebellion, racial segregation, racial ignorance, and most of all the coldness in people's heart. Frank is the road to true love.

Pretty sure this is the greatest song ever made.. 1:27 - 1:41 ...... WHAT?!!?!?!? I mean, the whole song is just perfect from the intro to the outro, but that part gives me chills every time.
me encanta esta cancion, me recuerda a mi papa, como el esta siempre de viaje me imagino que esta el el cuarto contiguo escuchandola. Me pone muy sentimental.
I love Frank Sinatra's music, he sings this song so beautifully. Thank you very much Ford, for allowing us to listen to your video. Thank you to You Tube, for providing us with this site. It is lovely to be able to listen to our favourite music whenever we like.
By the way, If you like this song, listen to Mireille Mathieu singing it in French. I can't speak French, but I love to hear Mireille singing this song. The French title is Un Monde avec toi.
@kiddyoung come on all of his works? are u kidding me? he has many shitty songs ... every singer or actor has some masterpieces besides some unsuccessful works.
You know what I love about reading Frank Sinatra song comments?....there's NO BAD NEGATIVE COMMENTS...THANK YOU GUYS! You've finally made me happy that there is at least one artist that everyone can agree is amazing...I can't tell you how many times I've seen on other song posts that "OH THEY SUCK!" and stuff like that....I'm glad y'all keep it classy with Frank....Much love
The centerpiece of Frank's album "The World We Knew", and initially recorded as an instrumental by Bert Kaempfert on HIS Polydor/Decca album of the same name [Carl Sigman wrote the English lyrics]. I believe Claus Ogerman was the arranger/conductor here...
I might be young, I might like metal, hip-hop, and electronica.. But god damn, this is still the best song I've ever heard! If only I could have been born a century sooner, when the world was a much simpler place.. surely I would be a much happier man! At the very least, this is the place The World We (Never) Knew takes me, every time I listen :)
Love this music even though it was way before my time-it is romantic, classy, and clean. There is tremendous style of this era and gentlemen were gentlemen and ladies were ladies.
No doubt, Frank Sinatra was a heavy weight champion between crooners. This song is special, outstanding standard. Only mister Francis Albert Sinatra could sing it in a proper way and turn this song in to the gold, because of his voice
Don't know why, but I think it would have suited well as the main theme of one of the old James Bond movies...

Over and over I keep going over the world we knew
Once when you walked beside me
That inconceivable, that unbelievable world we knew
When we two were in love
And every bright neon sign turned into stars
And the sun and the moon seemed to be ours
Each road that we took turned into gold
But the dream was too much for you to hold
Now over and over I keep going over the world we knew
Days when you used to love me
