  • you are a dumbass for turning a factory big block car in to a small block car who does that even to a ss 396 car you ruiend al the vaue of that car

  • I'm in the process of a frame off restoration of my 67 chevelle 2-door hard top. My dad and I have been working on it for about 6 months. We've had the car since the early 80's. We also put a small block motor in the car but having a hard time finding headers to fit with out hitting the frame, I have bought 2 sets on ebay with no luck. Where did you get your headers and what brand are they?? Have you posted the part 2 of your restoration on youtube yet? lookin good, lots of fun..

Hi, I also have a sbc in my 67 malibu. I used Hooker 1&3/4" competition headers on it . The pass. side is really close to the lower a-frame. You might need to do a little clearencing (grinder) to make 'em fit.

  • @sbc388550 thanks, I will try that..

  • is that a 396

  • when we bought it, it had a 454 in it. We put a 350 in it. I gave the 454 to my brother to put in his '70 chevelle.

  • Lucky brother!

  • i ask myself, why take a big block out and put a small block back in it

  • @oldchevyw

Lighter weight, better handling, poss. lower ins. rate. You can make LOTS of ponies with a sbc.

  • @sbc388550 agreed....my roller 388 is makin over 500 at the crank...more this spring when I put the hairdryer on it..:)

  • wow jono, you never told me it went this deep.
