  • When Kermit met Cookie

  • "Now this...This is an I! Uh...titled...or it could be the number one. But whatever it is, it is NOT whatever it was a second ago..."

  • This show has such charm...

  • Cookie Monster liked to dine at the W

  • This is cookie monster's debute

  • Brilliant idea to turn the W into N and then V and I and the number 1.

  • Cookie Monster looked so cute!

  • I guess Cookie Monster might have had a craving for frog legs at the end.

  • That was not very nice. But just look at the way Cookie Monster looked at Kermit after he ate the W.

  • Plz apologize to me right now for calling me an evil cunt. And no more commenting after that plz.

  • I was being sarcastic before. NO MORE COMMENTS ON MY COMMENT, PPL!

  • Yes, I can see you have quite a quirky sense of humour.

I imagine most people just wouldn't know how to take you now would they ??

  • Funny! ^^

  • does anyone have kermit's letter R lecture?

  • in order the letters W N V & 1

  • funny!!!

  • XD Cookie Monster is so cute XD

  • W is for wattamack! :)

  • Taken from the premiere episode on November 10, 1969.

  • Anyone else think the letter was made out of packing material?

  • aka styrofoam

  • XD I never knew Kermit tasted good

  • ".....And there's a couple of them in 'nincompoop'..." LMAO

  • I'm sorry I thought I was going to talk about W but someone but me an N

  • Oops. I said But when I should of said Brought

  • LOL some people will eat anything!

  • This is the first time I ever heard that your mother is calling joke on sesame street.

  • Geeze I didn't know that the letter double U is that delicious!!

  • i love kermit's voice when he says "This is an I!" he gets so overwhelmed w/ his lectures

  • 'I think I hear your mother calling.'

'You leave my mother out of this!'

  • XD this was from the first episode of sesame street? wow, I'd never have guessed.

  • CM gives a tiny laugh before trying to eat Kermit. Apparently frog legs are a favorite Muppet Monster snack; Yorick tried eating his leg on the Ed Sullivan Show...with more success!

  • Hahaha, sweet.

  • Judging from how young Jim Henson's voice sounded, this sketch must have been really early on in Sesame Street's production; thus he doesn't know Cookie Monster by name yet, since in those days, it wasn't too often that Muppets from Sesame Street and The Muppet Show appeared together.

  • Of course it is. It's from the first Sesame Street episode in 1969.

  • It's funny how Kermit denies the fact CM who wasn't called that at the time was eating pieces off the W.

  • Kermit sure has an edge.

  • What was that weird music at the end?

  • Cookie is trying to eat Kermit

  • It seems that, in the beginning, Muppet monsters were scary enough to, on occasion, induce spooky music whenever disrupting Kermit's lectures. If they had kept that up beyond the first season and given kids further nightmares, the show probably wouldn't have lasted as long as it has.

  • That's an interesting point.

  • "Some people will eat anything." So true, Kermit.
