When I watched this movie at the age of 20 in 1971, being a poor man, I sold my house and bought a 2nd hand Fiat 124 S......Wonderful and unforgettable movie....Jean Paul is no doubt a great actor

I remember the filming of this movie. The scene with the trolley bus stunt in front of the Hilton lasts a few seconds, but it took about a week to film, causing massive traffic jams. A fun movie to watch, and remember how Athens was 40 years ago.

My oldest brother used to tell us about jean-paul belmondo movies. He watched it on ptv(pakistan national tv). When I grew up We tried to find his movies, back home so I can watch them too. But could not find them. Thanks to you tube I know what brother wanted to show me.
This guy is a genius.
And I had no idea they were original in italian, probably they were translated in english for our national tv.
When I first watched this movie almost 40 years ago I was enthralled, amazed and simply flabbergasted at the stunts and car chases. This was a time when stunts were really STUNTS and not just digital magic. This is one of my all-time favorite scenes of an all-time favorite movie.

Wallowing with their soft leaf spring suspension - but a huge and loud siren!

To be fair, his sideburns generally absorbed a lot of the impact.
