  • Dude, David Tennant is gone let it go. If your going to review something mention both the good and bad. Yeah the Beast Below wasn't the best but still, mention the good stuff in season 5 like Victory of Daleks, The Time of Angels, The 11th Hour, Amy's Choice, The Pandorica Opens, The Big Bang

  • @isaakianplayers Well, in case you hadn't noticed, this video was made during the season, and we had not finished it. Hence my following videos reviewing individual episodes. I have since given up on reviewing Doctor Who episodes, due to the constant Copyright infringement i've been accused of, and because of the massive amount of negative comments I've received like yours. Apparently, a person can't have an opinion on the internet...

  • @JustcallmeDavner I'm not saying you can't have an opinion, but when you post your opinion online you had better be prepared for a lot of people (like myself) to disagree with you.

  • stupid American!!! I bet you don't even know theres a classic series!

  • @puppyshade

Yes I know there is a classic series... As I said in the video, I have seen Tom Baker episodes, Peter Davidson, Patrick Troughton, and Paul McGann... I am not completely ignorant...

The way I see it, Matt Smith's portrayal of the Doctor is like his infamous Bowtie... Not cool, but struggling to be. From the get-go, Matt Smith seems to try too hard. There have been episodes that I have liked. "Vincent & The Doctor", "The Big Bang", and "A Christmas Carol" to name a few.

  • @JustcallmeDavner Let me get this straight, you hate bow ties yet Matt Smith wears one, Patrick troughton wears one, David McCallum from NCIS wears one, and they're not cool?

Matt Smith doesn't try hard, well he does in a way but that's just him pulling off major acting skills as the Doctor, he is quirky and very alien which allows the companion to be his human side, the one with more common sense and also a bigger role then just "Help! Doctor!" and be apart of the story

  • i don't know why your blaming matt smith for not coming up with an idea in the beast below blam the the writers.

Also i like the way that matt is very observant and excentric (i love his shifty eyes) it's very doctorish in a way that david tenet wasent. David tenet was a bad ass which is fine but not how i prefer my docors.

also i apoligize for the sPelling but i refuse to correct myself

  • You need to explain why you love the show and not what the show did for you personally. Your audience watching reviews on this show are likely going to love Doctor Who. If you are going to complain about cinematography, don't blame it on Matt Smith's Doctor. If you complain about writing, don't blame solely on continuity logic. You lose credibility this way, and that's how you lose your audience. Considering your enthusiasm, losing your opinion to the ether this early would be so unnecessary.

  • Um, this might be a shock to you, but David Tennant is an actor (o_O) And you're complining about the script, mate, not about Matt Smith's acting.

  • @redfoxonstilts

Long time to get to you I know... But as much as David Tennant might be an actor, so is Tom Baker, but no one calls him by his number. So get over yourself, when I talk about David, I'm talking about his portrayal, and despite the writing, The actors do get a say in how they portray their characters... It's the Doctor...

  • If it really is as horrible as you claim it to be, then just return to the show in a couple of years when a new doctor arrives. I doubt that BBC will fire Matt Smith over nerd rage videos, lol.

  • @KosmiskRevolution

Not expecting them to fire him. He has done some good work. But I do miss the charisma and Intelligence of David's Doctor...

  • In the case of the two episodes you pointed out, I think they work as if to show how "alien" this doctor is, and I think it is brilliant that Amy gets to save the day once or twice because of her human knowledge, elevating the companion from just "doctor, what's going on?". Besides, after the doctor regenerates he gets a whole new personality, so it is obvious there will be differences, some which will be more disliked by some.

  • Quite honestly, if Doctor Who is the biggest thing in your life, I think you need to find something new to do. Yeah, it's wonderful, but it is a *tv-show*. "David Tennant would have done this, and David Tennant would have done that." No he wouldn't. David Tennant is an actor. The writers would make the doctor do this and that, both with eleven and ten, so you can't really blame Matt Smith for acting out the script.
