While I'm fine watching some building and such, I find it far more interesting to watch (and do) spelunking. To me, the title "Cavern Run" was a bit bait and switchy (for me, at least). Yeah, you ran through a cavern...really, really fast...but.... No harm done, I'm still watching. ;-)

Using your new setup for the storage, rather than use fenceposts for the ones in the wall, why not use stairs? You can still put the torches back there, and light goes through stairs, and it makes a seamless wall. When stairs are above chests they still let you use the chest.

You can access a chest if there's a "transparent" block above it, like stairs or fence. It's just full blocks that prevent it.

Actaully, sense the cave is not connected to the coe-lecctor it has enemies spawn in the cave that sit there and do nothing but make it so the dark room hits the spawn limit faster.
