I don't mean to be a hater, but it sounded like she was forcing the air out of her lungs. It's was a bit too high pitched for her at some parts.... The singer is supposed to sing narratively, as though she has sympathy for the girl. Once you hit the chorus where the girl is singing, you can sing a bit louder bit try not to screech. It's not horrible, but it has some room for improvement. Thanks!:)

If you notice in the opening, it credits "Music", as in the actual music, to wowaka, and "Song" to Akiakane, as in she's singing it. She's the singer AND the illustrator in this version.

Hopefully, that clears everything up.

My goodness... My japanese isn't really good so I am not able to catch some of the verses but really, even with those barriers, I can feel the pain and depression aki akane was feeling when singing this... When she goes into the final part where she is blasting through the chorus, I could barely hold back tears... I always thought that miku's version was already emotional, but the aki akane, the original singer/composer, blew the roof off. MASTERFULLY DONE!!!

@xXShadowKitten You know that saying "I'm so mad, I could just scream"? I think that's what Akiakane's getting at. The girl in the song is angry, disappointed, and bordering on insanity. Akiakane screams a lot in this song to portray the girl's pain.

The video is about a girl suffering. I think her voice fits it perfectly. If she sang it softly, it wouldn't be as meaningful.

I really love this song <3. I found that it's less depressing/chilling because she puts so much emotion into her voice. While this isn't a con, it shows she's willing to show her feelings. Depression, insanity, hopelessness, at the point beyond tears, etc. etc.. But, in Miku's version she sounds so calm yet insane and depressed, that for sure gives you chills. It's as if she's trying to hide her depression and horror at her life. Both versions are purely and truly amazing. <3 Vocaloid, Akiakane!

Personally I didn't like it, too much screaming. At least in my opinion it was screaming. I like hearing a more calm version of this song, so it sounds like the girl is building everything inside and not showing how depressed and insane she's being driven. Akiakane's version of this song is fantastic. I love her voice, it's obvious this song means a lot to her. She's also so talented, think about it, she wrote the song, made the animation that goes to it, AND sung it. That takes a lot of talent.

I can only imagine what she must have been going through when she made this, the song is about someone who is depressed but at the same time wants to keep going on with her life. It's meaningful and very deep.

All in all, this is an incredible feat.

Yes, this version has a lot more feeling in it. Like it actually means something to the singer.

But Miku is a "robot." one of the themes of vocaloid is that the characters sing calmly, even if-- especially if-- it doesn't fit the situation.

Think about it this way: Akiakane's version uses the real voice, frustration, bitterness, and sadness. Miku's version uses synthesized voice, despair, and the concept of bitterness and sadness.

Miku has always given up already.
