It all depends on the angle of approach and the acceleration/deceleration of the aircraft. If the Shamal hits the water at too steep of an angle or at a higher acceleration, it can explode when it hits the surface. Deceleration helps a lot in keeping it from exploding.

It is possible to survive a missile strike from a Hydra with very little damage, provided that the explosion branches off in a direction that goes away from the helicopter body itself. It’s random, and I can’t control it.

I have a question;If you get killed/busted on a restricted area,will you respawn at the respective countys police station/hospital or do you spawn back to LS?

Getting Busted or Wasted in locked areas will cause Carl to re-spawn in Los Santos, but there is an exception to that; if Carl has Katie as a girlfriend, and he gets Wasted in San Fierro (even though it's still locked), he'll appear at her home instead of Los Santos; likewise if Barbara is a girlfriend, and Carl gets Busted in The Desert (while it's locked), he'll appear at her "home," which is actually the jail in El Quebrados.

The only aircraft that have locked doors prior to Pilot School are in Easter Bay Airport (San Fierro); all other aircraft in the game have unlocked doors.

You sure did; Hydras appear quite often when Carl occupies most aircraft with a 4-Star Wanted Level; the only exception being when he occupies the AT-400.

right, you can't save the game in Las Ventures at the beginning of the game, but you can still go to Las Venturas, you'll just get a constant 4-Star Wanted Level while you're there.
