Larry...I LOVE all the sounds of this video...It draws a person in and they soak up every bit of it....You just have such a way with songs.....I mean, i really like this one, but it's not just that....One of the things that i SO love is that you don't just sing a song with a good voice...Your fantastic music comes from your soul and nothing is a greater sound than that..You are something else:)...ione marie
Larry....Listening to this again makes me glad i came. back..A voice that can't be labeled because it can't be copied....A true piece of music, your delightful voice, and that sweet martin......I will be back again to listen and smile .....ione marie
Larry......Love your voice here and the background outdoor sounds....Both are so good for my ears......I can only begin to imagine what Woodstock was like.....ALL that pure beautiful music....Thank you for reminding me just how much a person can get from it......ione marie
A beautiful rendition of a beautiful song. I wish I had been around for Woodstock, but it was before my time. I wonder if you could share the chord progression you used, I recognise the D and G, but besides that am lost!
Love this song and i love this cover also, you are a talented man. Btw the nature sounds really bring out the "folk" in this song (if that makes sense) haha my cover of this song had some crickets in the background... but its just not the same :) Peace -Jamison
Awesome, sounds great! I'm trying to learn this song on my guitar and im using chords as D, C, G, Dm and A. But i can see that you're using different chords, what chords are they? :) your chords seems to be the right ones.
Don't really like black on guitars, but as I've said before, I really love that guitar! Could you tell me about it plz? I just stare at it like the first time I saw my wife...lol
Larry...Another one for my ears to soak up and enjoy...sounds like your backyard nature friends get as much out of your music as we do.....a beautiful song making me wish i was at woodstock.....ione marie
Just outstanding man.I love the way that you communicate the song to your audience. A lot of people master instruments but forget to add emotion and feeling. You do it naturally,
I've never heard this song, Larry, thanks for doing it. Hey did you know Bert Sommer was one of the members of the kiddie rock group Kaptain Kool and The Kongs back in 1976...he played "Flatbush"
Bert Sommer made a brief appearance on the Billboard charts in 1970 with a different song, but this is the one that tickles my memory files. This was only heard on album-oriented radio, unfortunately.
You cover this one perfectly, Larry. Thank you for bringing back so many of these forgotten songs.
Both the song and Bert Sommer were entirely unfamiliar to me until today. What an incredibly talented young man - and what a shame his part in Woodstock was not given the publicity it so richly deserved. Thank you for the superb introduction, Larry - I have listened to your cover over and over again, and I love it more everytime I hear it. Absolutely one of your best.
This song sounds very familiar, just not sure from where. I don't think from the "oldies" radio station. Regardless, you've performed wonderfully this weekend, Larry. It's been a pleasure to join you on your trip to Woodstock. :-)
