What part of everlasting God dont you understand? Satan is a creation, Finite as opposed to the infinite everlasting God. You have already been defeated, and you willingly stand on the losing side. Nothing that satan says will stand as truth before the great white judgement seat of Christ. You want death, God wants life. Death is bad, life is good. Its not rocket science. i like brenton's, chris's, and lincoln brewster's versions equally because they all are suited for my different moods of worship. i go towards chris's for the quiet times, brenton's when i just need hope, and lincoln's for the corporate times... but brenton's will always be the "go-to" version.

I love this song too. I really enjoyed Tomlin's arrangement better though because it seemed to really capture the emotion for me. I like the slower tempo because it's seems more powerful as if at our weakest we claim this truth and find strength.  Great stuff.

This is actually much better than the first one. He explains it much better, and having him and Chris (who has really taken this song to the nations) really make a good pair of teachers, just because they are both so down to earth ... or at least seem that way.

First time I got to play this song at church, the words didn't come up on the power point, and you wouldn't have known it, the congregation joined right in as if they'd been practicing it for years!
