  • in your convo, why did you have to add the "ho" in "ho capito"? does the "ho" there mean to have or it's like ohhh? ><' and shouldn't it be "io capisco"?

  • @cloudscounter "Ho capito" means "I have understood", so HO in that sentence is the verb "avere" in the 1st singular person.

  • oh, and also when you say "i have a cat" why dont you say "Io un gatto" instead of "Ho un gatto"

  • @xLikeABossx

"Io un gatto" means "I a cat" whereas "Ho un gatto" means "I have a cat."

Also in Italian, you don't need to include the nominative pronoun. You can just say "Ho" and not "Io ho" because "Ho" itself means "I have".

  • what is the difference between egli/ella/esso and lui/lei/lui

    and also essi/esse or loro??

  • There is no difference at all. Or better said, in ancient italian there was one, but nowadays there's not. Though in the oral language you better use just lui/lei and not egli/ella/esso because those last ones are not used anymore. They can be considered something like 'archaisms'. Got it?

  • @xLikeABossx It's the same, but lui lei lui are more used

  • @xLikeABossx

basically nothing,,, but egli/ella/esso are too much formal and nobody use it in convos.. so just use LUI (he) LEI (she) LORO (they)

  • hai una bella voce,ma come dice dr.house informa questi ragazzi che tendi ad aprire molte vocali! (non è brutto a sentirsi, anzi; ti faccio un esempio: avere)

  • apprezzabilissimo il tuo lavoro, veramente^^

magari però informa i tuoi studenti che hai un accento abbastanza particolare sulle vocali (a proposito, di dove sei? :P)

un po' più aperto sulle vocali dello standard italiano.

    keep it up!

  • What's the difference between "Egli/Ella/Esso" and "Lui/Lei/Lui" ?

  • @jonjon2222 Egli/ella/esso are mainly used in a formal way, especially written

  • Grazie Mille

  • ehi molto bravo, complimenti ! Un'idea utile e ben studiata per chi, a differenza di noi, non mastica l'idioma di Dante.

    Ciao!

  • Grazie mille =)! Come ho gia` scritto non sono un professionista, ma cerco di insegnare, in un modo, chiaro, almeno spero xD, la nostra lingua a tutti quelli che vogliono impararla senza pero` far spendere 'na lira =).

  • @Rocket277 bravo ;-)

  • oh god!
