This is great and I get most of it, but when you 'add the 9th' I get really confused. Sorry, I'm trying to learn piano on my own so I'm not very good yet. But you start playing loads of different notes that weren't mentioned before, help me please? :)
Hi and thanks. If you're playing an acoustic piano you need to move every one of the notes that I mention up by the smallest gap. E.g., the 'C' note would move up the next black note next to it and any black notes would move up to the next white note. It is quite hard to do if you've never tried it before, but much easier when you start to think in terms of a 'one' chord or a 'five' chord, which helps you to play in any key. This is great.i'm not a pianist but I really want to try this.How do I "take everything up by a semi tone" to get it in the key of A Flat?
