I've been using boxee for some time. They've just recently released an iPad app that allows you to stream your movies, etc to your devices. The iPhone app only works as a remote. I wonder how Plex and Boxee match up?
Can i just use torrented films converted into the proper format, not that I would ever do such a thing. Just wondering for purely scientific purposes....
I'm assuming your mac mini has to be on with plex open?
The Imdb info feature has me sold on its own.
Can you explain how you have digitized all your dvd's and blurays?
Ive had a fiddle with handbreak before, and have done 80 or so of my dvd's (mainly so i can watch them on my iphone on long trips.)
Id like to do it with no quality drop in Audio or Video. (at the moment i'll still go and get the dvd over watching the digital copy.) Space is not an issue at all.
@spacemole Well to rip your dvds use RipIt. It costs money but is worth it. It can convert the video for you after it rips. Plex runs 24/7 so does the mini. Blurays are a bit harder. You'll have to search on google for that.
