  • what's the game at 00:12?

  • @jascha64 its a traditional japanese board game called "Go"

  • @jascha64 It's Gomoku Narabe. It's the one of the game like Connect Five (5 points in a row).

  • Wow, Mahjong on the NES.. Yay..

Well at least they showed Donkey Kong and Mario Bros.

  • Wat does 0:23 say in english?

  • i like those colored early famicom cartridges with no artwork

  • Lol

  • The Famicom looks like a toy with that colorful system and multi colored cartridges. I don't understand why the U.S. tried to maket the system as a toy when they made it look like a high tech VCR instead.

  • @GamerGuideGamerPause Agreed. Why they made the Family Computer look like a V-Tech toy, I don't know. Why The U.S. tried to sell a slick looking box as a toy, I don't know.

  • @GamerGuideGamerPause

I'm pretty sure it looked a bit too bright and childish for American audiences, even as a toy.

  • Didn't Activision commecials use that same intro?

  • Fammidy computah!

  • It's Nintendo's turned Japenese twin brother.

  • @bogercs actually... it would be more logical to say that it is the NES's older brother.

  • its a square button!

  • Did he get stuck in atari on the FAMICOM NES? Lol...

  • they had a go game for famicom cool

  • 0:20 mario bros is shitty

  • @vivamexico242 Mario bros is just shitty :D

  • @vivamexico242 at first I didnt realize your comment but when I saw the part I was literaly HEHEHEHEHEHAHAAEHEEAAHEEEAHAHEEEHHHEEEEAAAAHHEEEAEEH!

  • oh cool. I have a famicom and i have theese 2 tapes 1 had 58 games on it and the other had 52.

  • 0:20 sound like he said just shitty

  • I'm guessing this is one of the first, if not the first, Famicom commercials ever? It's really interesting how Japan first marketed the Famicom as more of a mini computer (hence the name) while America advertised the NES as a mini arcade machine.

  • From what I've heard, you are also correct because this is a recalled (and now rumored to be super-rare) square-button famicom. From what I've read, those famicoms used to randomly freeze and/or have the buttons get stuck.

  • cool
