The FS was very quiet about shutting this area down to avoid push-back from the outdoor community. We tried to fight it after learning but we were already too late.
We had no idea at the time that this section of road would be closed.
Generally, the FS constructs these on roads where travel is already disallowed. It's mean to prevent illegal use of the road. So the question before shaming the FS is then: was this a closed road, and should you have not been there in the first place? Or was this an open road, and you were legally using it?
