@bluelib03 If you knew the "original" Pink Floyd's inflatable pig story you would understand why they need a gun. Basically, in the 70's, when Floyd's pig was launched it flew away. Luckly it didn't crash into any airplane or something and ended up landing safely on a corn field kilomters away from Battersea, but since that day people learned the lesson and found out it would be a good idea to keep a sniper around in case if the baloon accidentally flew away.

There are Heathrow (the world's busiest airport), Gatwick, London City and Biggin Hill airports (not to mention serveral private and emergancy services helipads) all within a few miles of Battersea Power Station.

If the inflatable broke it's mourings (like the one that inspired this uninspired stunt) there would be potential for it to have coursed delays and diversions, or worse, to their flights. So, if need be, best to shoot it rather then Fox risk getting sued.
