I believe that Black leadership should certainly have a place at the table in being able to deal with the crisis along with government officials, government agencies, private sector organization and the general public, but black leaders are inept to fight this problem in the black community by themselves.

I do agree that the BLACK LEADERSHIP could have done more to at least make this issue one of the foremost issues of our times. Having said all of that, I do not believe that it is fair or just to hold Black Leaders responsible for not being able to solve a WORLD CRISIS (AIDS) that just so happens to disproportionately affect the Black Community.

If AIDS is affecting the black community in large numbers, then it is the job of black leadership to address it. Jesse is too busy organizing boycotts of Seinfeld to address important issues.

Our president has the platform to get message across, any other crisis in the world Iran .africa is happening right here in Americas neighborhoods,the crack and herion dealers buy bullets for the taliban, seniors unable to step outside at night.The war on terrorizim has to begin in America now, It is so naive believing this war needs to fought only in Iran, while ignoring the first place to look ,inner city community where lives are being lost at a rate faster than Iran,
