Back in winter 2005 (hurricane Gudrun) many were out of electricity for many weeks, we only for a week. It was black moon, and totally pitch dark. Most families left for the town as soon as possible, but we all had a great time practicing how to live off the grid. Talked alot more to the few neighbours that stayed. Used the well, the old fire-place - everyone slept in that room or the kitchen and so on. And the stary sky - no lights poluted the darkness!
