It's cause in the pokemon world people arnt evil with a few rotten exceptions;who are still somewhat good inside..while in marvel almost everyone is rotten inside and only act nice(name more than 1 person in "Spiderman "who's rich and didnt get there off of crime(besides JJJ ).. except for a few nice people who are good..(like the Parkers etc)

so..basically...Pokemon is more family friendly(note i said "more") than marvel...and people dont get tired of watching it as easily..for me anyway..

A lot of Marvels message is out of all the people who get power there are only a few who are willing to use it well, while others use it to exploit the innocents while 99.9999999999% of people are just ordinary, not good not bad and not powerful. Whereas in Pokemon the message was a lot less realist basicly saying that everyone is good, ok fair enough in young kids show but by the time you reach the age pokemon is aimed at it is getting to the point where you have to say evil exists deal with it

According to Wikipedia, this Spider-Man aired around the same time Pokemon was becoming popular. Although it garnered a decent audience, it just couldn't compete and was canceled. A second season was never produced, and the first season only goes up to 13. Thanks for posting, I was probably one of those unlucky few who was wondering what happened to this show at the time. Just like the 90's Hulk cartoon

I believe this was explained in the third episode but i'll try anyway. the early forms of the symbiotes was like parasites( big bugs) but then something came to the planet forcing them underground. in order to survive they basically evolved. this evolution basically made all the little symbiotes into one great big liquid sludge that could control many individuals

apparently venom and carnage are like higher evolved seperated avatars for the synoptic to achieve goals.
