  • i just got that movie, and the parts with the dead kid, Tomas, he was my fav character! i love that movie!

  • this movie was incredibly amazing! :D you definitely have to see it!

  • LOOOOOL it was not a drama at all. you need to know what a horror movie is before you saw stuff like that.

  • amazing film i love a cherish this movie

  • you hot!

  • I am spanish and I think that spanish films aren't normally really good. But this is an exception. I think that "El Orfanato" is the best movie maked in my country. Like you, I was expecting something different, something like all the horror movies in my country. But this movie was special, it was simply amazing.

  • I LOVE THIS FILM soooo much :D

  • it might be like what they did with (REC.) by making Quarantine. It was O.K. but (REC.) was fu***ng amazing

  • I didn't like it :/ I think because I was expecting it to be more horror-y? The subtitles distracted me so I missed the camera shots etc, which kinda sucked. Some scenes were quite good though. The very first line is "One, two, three knock on the door..." I remember that xD

  • El Orfanato es una película Española de un director Español. Las colaboraciones con otros directores como Del Toro no tienen nada que ver!!

  • I totally agree with this guy, Spanish cinema is generally excellent. This film is of supreme quality! The acting, the scenes, the script, the camera work, effects, lighting, everything screams class here. It will certainly became a classic! BUT it has to be enjoyed in SPANISH. The scrip is fantastic and they simply sound great, lets face it!

  • well, it has its ups and downs, but I agree that the ups are very high up and the downs are still watchable.

  • The Orphange is one of my favorite movies ever. It scared , shocked , and saddened me. Not only that , but I especially like Tomas. o_o Tomas is fucking creepy....

  • I loved the movie! I even cried at the end...I still do....

  • You rigth. your comment is rated down. why is that? hahahha. i Love this movie. :) if you didin't like it, screw you.

  • Hmm.... maybe you should do something called "grow up"? And while you're at it, respect others' opinions? lol

  • I loved the movie. I tried to get my friend's to watch, but it seemed like they thought it was stupid and in the end I watched it with just one of them, who fell asleep like 10 minutes into it. D:

    I think it's amazing still though. :3

  • all the people are used to see action, fast, wild screams. and so on. ahha. but if u are patient at the end its an awsome movie.

  • this is one of my favorite movies! and it's a very good review you did ^^

a very good movie, if you didin't like it, screw you, it was great

  • Love this movie, the ending was such a twist, but it was so sad! My favorite scene was the exorcism scene

  • this movie is amazing. i love it so much. poor tomas

  • I was sorta touched by it. I thought the husband was pointless though because he was supposed to be the voice of reason but the cop Pilar could have done that. The guy's acting was just terrible. When he got into the car, he rolled down his window, just looked at her - nothing. There was no look of skepticism in his face or Pilar's. I did not think they believed the medium until they voiced it and usually you can tell when people are skeptical. But thankfully, Simon and the mother were good.

  • whats the rating?

  • lmfao! 'the dead kid with the mask is laughable', i could imagine

  • "dead kid w/ mask" wasn't intended to be "Jason/Michael" scary. Kid was meant to wear it to hide away from attention. good movie btw...kind of touching

  • um thanks but i don't really care.

  • the orphanage is a del tora flick am i right? yeah, pans labrynth blew my mind im looking forward to checking out this amoung some of his other work (i hear the devils backbone is good aswell)

  • Del Toro actually didn't direct it. he only produced the movie. and yes, Pan's Labyrinth is absolutely fantastic

  • No, it's a Del Toro presentation, it's directed by J.A. Bayona

  • Xupaalooo CTM!!!

  • wow you are really positive about everything you talk about...its really fn annoying...

  • I watched this the other day and i watched it and it was great different from the films i have seen so i liked it

  • remake in US version??? no way!!

  • so it was'nt scary at all?

  • It is scary.... wait until you see the kid in the mask "Tomas"

  • i saw this one!!! it was pretty good. but nothing makes sense until the ending

  • I don't understand what have you said? Have you said that the film is better in spanish?

que ha dicho? alguien que hable español me lo dice?

  • Si, dice que la version original es buenisima y que es posible que esta pelicula sea hecha en America. Recomienda que miren la original en español porque no cree que la nueva version pueda ser mejor que la original.

It is completely true, I was expecting something completely different but I must admit that what I saw was much better. It actually made me very sad at the end.

  • loooooooooooooooved the movie! great movie seriously!

  • hey man im about to watch this movie! ive been hesitating to watch it but i just rented it hopefuly it is as good as you say

  • I thought it was supposed to be scarier, but it was pretty good.

  • the kid with the mask on looks fucking creepy, I cant wait to see this movie.

  • if you like span. movies look at rec but it is scarier :P

  • i well wanna watch this, looks awesome. i hope they dont remake it in the US cos their remakes on forigen or any film normally sucks.

  • the actrees is very very famous in Spain and i'm so happy that people from USA can watch her acting ^^! and with her voice! :P

  • Thanks Eric! I JUST got this on Netflix and was going to watch it, oh, I think I'll wait to see the Spanish version, thanks!

  • LOVED the orphanage

  • wait... you have an english version? Like they speak english instead of spanish? man, that must ruined the movie! :o

  • very sad

    a little creepy

    cuz some parts startled me

  • this movie was so good but dang, it is MESSED UP!! it is too crazy how everything falls together at the end. you would never expect what happens!! lol.

  • you talk spanish??????????????????????

  • No! This is America!

    Subtitles, man! x]

  • si, yo si xD

  • great movie, same vibe as pan's labyrinth.

but original in the least. i saw the spanish version by accident. and i ended up liking it better than the english :]

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!

  • I liked the review. Did you see Pan's Labyrinth?

  • pan's labyrinth.what a great movie.

  • i like this movie better than pans labyrinth

    but thats good too

  • If u liked El Orfanato, u have to watch El Espinazo del Diablo (The Devil's Backbone ) and El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth )

...Guillermo del Toro's movies are just awesome.

  • Sounds kinda weird.

  • yeah well its good actually

you watch it and you are like: what the fuck?? but its interesting and by the way, Pan's Labyrinth or El Laberinfo del Fauno... I didnt get the point the movie...I hate te part of the bottle, you know, with her dad.Jeez

  • Maybe it was just me not paying attention, ill see it again lol

  • i watch the movie like 1 year ago! and it was GREAT!

    great review

  • I'm glad it isn't too scary, I was a bit nervous about renting it, but now I totally will!

    Thanks for the review!

  • omg, i saw this movie awhile ago.

    its awesome!

    :D

you should see Pan's Labyrinth (same director).

i liked it more than i liked the orphanage.

    :)

  • actually the master Del Toro Produced El Orfanato, the director was a young talented spanish director.

  • I've got to watch it now.......you should review Pineapple Express! :)

    Check out my page.

  • 5 stars! Great review!

  • love that movie who cares if it had subtittles it was super awsome i loved it on eof my fav movies ever

  • same :)

was just gonna write practically the same thing

    such good twists!

  • i saw it a few months ago. it was very well done. del toro is a great film maker.

the twist at the ending filled me with so many emotions from suprise to deep sorrow.

  • i was going to watch it! but i havent heard of it, so i didnt know if it would be good. My mom and I were debating on it. We ended up watching 20/20. i obviously lost the battle.

  • i rented the movie a few months ago. pretty kool, fantastically creepy

  • i loved this movie. Anything by Guillermo del Toro is amazing.

  • Yea this movie was awesome indeed. It was very suspenseful and def fun to watch alone :)

    ***** movie

  • that movie was re maded into a french version which was amazingg =] but the original was good too

  • where are you watching these spanish films?

  • All your reviews are so positive. I'm curious to know what movies you actually dislike..

  • I'm a really happy person so I just enjoy lots of stuff in general.

I recently watched Teeth and I hated it so much that I refuse to give up my time to review it hahah

But I'll try to review some movies I've seen that I didn't really like at all, you're right I don't do it very often

  • i had to watch it just because of the premise. and i have to say that movie should be viewed in a film class as an example of a truly bad movie.

  • wat is it with u and spanish films lol

  • I was originally planning on doing "FIESTA WEEKEND" and reviewing just the Spanish films in one weekend, but then I decided I just want to get them all done hahah

  • First view! Awesome video Eric!
